Try for Change is an England Rugby programme using the power of rugby union to improve the lives of marginalised and disadvantaged people in England and across the world. Our ambition is to raise money to grant to projects and programmes using rugby and its core values for positive change. England Rugby is proud to partner with Sport Relief on Try for Change.
We recognise the invaluable work of charities, clubs and individuals who use rugby as a force for good and we are raising funds to grant out to projects using our sport for social change.
These projects encapsulate rugby's core values to tackle a number of significant social challenges. Our grants focus on projects that achieve social impact in:
- Improving education attainment
- Increasing employability
- Reducing involvement in gangs and risk of offending
- Improving mental health
- Increasing community cohesion & social integration
Future grant rounds will be announced in due course. For more information on Try for Change grants please contact Tim Wainwright at firstname.lastname@example.org.
England Rugby and Sport Relief
Sport Relief, a campaign of Comic Relief, brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives; harnessing the power of sport to support some of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the UK and around the world.
England Rugby and Sport Relief both recognise the power of sport for social change and together we run the Try for Change Fund. This is a fully managed fund by Comic Relief and sees England Rugby raising new revenues to grant out through the Try for Change Fund to projects using rugby to for positive change.
England Rugby is a partner of Sport Relief and will fundraise for the Try for Change Fund which is a fully managed fund by Comic Relief. Sport Relief is an initiative of Comic Relief, registered charity 326568 (England/Wales); SC039730 (Scotland)
