The RFU is the national governing body for rugby union in England covering all its forms and variants.
As such it is responsible for setting out the strategic objectives and policies for the administration and development of the game at all levels in England. These objectives and policies are set out in the RFU Strategic Plan covering the period 2012/13 to 2016/17.
The Strategic Plan will guide the game in England up to and beyond Rugby World Cup 2015. The Plan's five strategic priorities aim to help the Union achieve major goals and to operate as a world-class business and governing body.
