Profile

Alex burst onto the international rugby scene in 2011 and was among the youngest squad members to lift the World Cup trophy in 2014, having come off the bench to play in the last 15 minutes of the final.

Alex, whose sister Francesca plays for England Sevens, studied Sports Psychology at Roehampton University and worked as a PA for children with disabilities.

On her 25th cap for the Red Roses, she was the Old Mutual Wealth Player of the Match when England beat France 10-5 at the Twickenham Stoop. Alex then set England on the way to a 39-6 win over Canada at Twickenham Stadium at the end of last November with the first of the side’s seven tries.

She was educated at Watchetts Junior School and Kings International College, both in Camberley, and began playing at home town club Camberley in 1997 aged only three.
