Only four years after taking up the game, Ealing-born Heather won a quick-fire seven international caps.

She started playing aged 21 at Durham University, having previously played in goal for the university hockey team.

She played her first 15-a-side game for charity and then competed in BUCS sevens for the university.

After a year playing for Durham, she joined Darlington Mowden Park Sharks and entered the RFU pathway through the North Academy.

She earned her first senior cap in the 2015 Six Nations, coming off the bench against Ireland and also played at the 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup.

Heather, who was schooled at Ryde, Isle of Wight, has a degree in Geography and is currently completing a PhD in Engineering at Durham.
