Vickii fell into rugby when her dad - for the sake of convenience - made all the family take part at home town club Portsmouth from the age of five to ten. However she carried on playing long after her brothers quit the game, moving to the girls’ game before joining Richmond at 18.
She represented England at U19 and U20 level and was in the U20 Nations Cup winning team in 2008 and 2009 and played in nine of England’s 10 Test matches in 2015, missing only the Six Nations game against Ireland.
She was player of the match in her 10th game, against Ireland at Twickenham in February 2016 before scoring her maiden Test try against France three weeks later.
She gained a BSc in Psychology at Reading University and is an IT business development manager.
