Burns and Socino called by disciplinary panel

Bath fly half Freddie Burns and Newcastle Falcons centre Juan Pablo Socino will both appear before an RFU disciplinary panel after their cards at the weekend.

Burns was red carded by referee Luke Pearce for a dangerous tip tackle on Worcester Warriors’ Josh Adams contrary to law 10.4(j) in the 63rd minute of their game against Worcester on Saturday.

His hearing will take place in Bristol on Tuesday 10 October at 18.30 and the panel will be chaired by Gareth Graham with Olly Kohn and Martin Picton.

Socino has been cited by Independent Citing Commissioner Peter Larter and is charged with striking contrary to law 10.4(a) in the second half of the match at Exeter.

The hearing will take place in Leeds on Wednesday 11 October at 18.30 and the panel will be chaired by Antony Davies with Samantha Hillas and Martyn Wood.
