THE MOST GIFTED OF THE THREE
1991 World-Cup winning Australia coach Bob Dwyer, wrote of Ella in the book Rugby Revelations during his days at Randwick: “I think Glen was the toughest of the three (brothers), I also think in some ways Glen was the most naturally gifted of the three.
“In my view he was the most talented runner. He possessed a beautiful balance which enabled him to step effortlessly off either foot. To see him running among opposition players, stepping off his right foot and his left foot in turn, was to be reminded of an ice skater.”
