In 21 days the Red Roses will fly for Ireland hoping to return world champions. We're bringing you a Red Rose a day, until the squad depart.
Next up is fly half Megan Jones.
What do you remember about the first time you played rugby?
"I was six, it was the local boys team and I remember in my first training session playing tag and that was about it really."
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
"My dad always tells me you always get out what you put in, so I always try to put 100% in."
What does it mean to you to play for England?
"It is a real honour, day in day out with training and getting to the peak of your performance and putting on the jersey with a bunch of mates is pretty special."
What drives you to be the best you can be?
"Probably the girls around me, the older lot mainly, as they’ve got high standards and they’re always trying to push us younger lot to achieve more. Performing on the pitch is what we want to do and driving those standards is our goal really."
What did it feel like singing the national anthem for the first time?
"Trying to get in time with everyone is always an issue but I remember taking it all in, looking around and seeing blank faces if I’m honest. You’re more concentrated on the task ahead than trying to be in time with everyone else."
Who has been the biggest influence on your career?
"My dad. He’s taken me to every training session since I was six but my mum had to push him to take me to the first one as he didn’t want his little girl to play rugby. He tries to watch every game, he tries to come out to everything he can so he’s really influential. He tries also to give me tips but I try to ignore those as he doesn’t have a clue what he’s on about."
If you were stranded on a desert island, what’s the one thing you would take with you?
"A colouring book to keep me occupied."
What’s your guilty pleasure?
"I love caramelised onions crisps, they’re so nice."
If you could attend one sporting event, which one would you pick?
"I would like to go and see boxing and Anthony Joshua facing whoever – just a big event like that."
If you could choose three celebrities to do Come Dine With Me, who would you choose?
"Justin Bieber, Dan Carter and Prince Harry."
What is the one thing from home you always take with you on tour?
If you could choose one superpower for the day, what would you pick?
"I’d be invisible; a little Harry Potter invisibility cloak would be good."
