What do you remember about the first time you played rugby?
"I started playing when I was five, so I actually started out on the wing. My main memory from back then was being the fast one on the wing and then going to the car afterwards and being freezing cold and having to take all my muddy clothes off before getting in my dad’s car. I loved every minute of it."
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
“Believe in yourself. Believe in your ability.”
What does it mean to you to play for England?
“It’s the biggest honour you could ever have. Playing for your country and defending your country’s position as the number one team in the world.”
What do you love about rugby?
“I love the sport of rugby because there are so many different aspects to it - I like fast-paced running rugby, playing with the ball, the contact side to it also. You get to show different aspects of your fitness, so not only do you have the running side, you also have scrums and line-outs so you get to show your strength. It is a great all-round sport.”
What drives you to be the best you can be?
“I want to be the best player in the world so I was always strive for that. I don’t think I’m ever going to meet that but I will always look to get better and try.”
What did it feel like singing the national anthem for the first time?
“It still gets me now, the first time you put on that England shirt and sing that national anthem really gets you because it means so much. It’s exactly the same every time after.”
Who has been the biggest influence on your career?
"Karen Findlay has been my club coach for 12 years. She picked me up as a 15 year old and also played prop. It was her belief in me that I should play for England and that pushed me on. She is a phenomenal influence on me."
If you were stranded on a desert island, what’s the one thing you would take with you?
“I’d take my partner Will so that I’d never be alone and so we could work together to figure a way off the island.”
What’s your guilty pleasure?
“Pick n Mix.”
If you could attend one sporting event, which one would you pick?
“I’d be cheeky and get tickets to both the men’s and women’s Rugby World Cup final.”
If you could choose three celebrities to do Come Dine With Me, who would you choose?
“I really want to meet Joe Marler, so I’d invite him, I’d invite David Attenborough and then someone cheeky like Dara Ó Briain.”
If you could choose one superpower for the day, what would you pick?
“I’d like to be invisible, you found out more about people when they don’t know they are being watched.”
