Red Roses head coach Simon Middleton has made two changes for Tuesday's Women’s Rugby World Cup semi-final game against France at Kingspan Stadium in Belfast.
Rachel Burford returns at inside centre alongside England’s leading point-scorer at the tournament Emily Scarratt, with Lydia Thompson added to the wing.
In the pack, Marlie Packer will win her 50th cap at flanker and forward Harriet Millar-Mills will reach the same milestone if she comes onto the pitch off the bench.
England beat Italy, Spain and USA to finish top of Pool B and be ranked second in the tournament ratings so far, while France overcame Japan, Australia and Ireland to top Pool C and achieved a ranking of third.
The match will be broadcast live on ITV 4 and the winners will meet whoever wins in the other semi-final between New Zealand and the USA.
“France are a well organised unit and a team that has been on form in this competition,” said head coach Middleton.
“They have an impressive pack and showed exceptional skill in their pool fixtures, particularly against Ireland. We will need to be at our best to get the job done and as a team everyone recognises that. I have the utmost confidence in this squad.
“To compete at a World Cup, playing knock-out rugby, is what every player in this squad has been building towards and training hard for. We are ready and excited for the challenge France will bring.”
England beat France 26-13 in the Six Nations earlier this year and were 10-5 winners in the Old Mutual Wealth Series in the autumn last season, but did lose 17-12 in France in the 2016 Six Nations meeting.
