Holders Hartpury College made sure they finished their AASE League campaign on a winning note after a 48-12 victory over Oaklands College at Loughborough University.
Winger Ollie Moore starred with three tries as Gloucester affiliated Hartpury recovered from the disappointment of not reaching the Championship Final to secure the convincing win and confirm third place in this year’s competition.
Oaklands touched down twice in the contest, but were no match for Hartpury, who scored eight tries of their own.
Beechen Cliff School made it three wins in four matches to secure fifth place in this year’s AASE League after a 46-10 win over Worcester Sixth Form College.
Hooker Oliver Bailey scored three times in the match as Bath affiliated Beechen Cliff dominated from the outset as Worcester finished in a respectable sixth place in the competition.
In the last match of the AASE ranking play-offs, The Henley College took seventh place after a 34-5 win over Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth I College.
Wasps affiliated Henley had lost their three matches in the competition but they turned it around when it mattered to secure the comfortable win over Wyggeston.Three matches have been played on Wednesday (30th November) and Thursday (1st December) to determine their final positions in the AASE League this season with the Championship Final taking place between Gosforth Academy and Exeter College at Allianz Park on Friday 2nd December, scheduled for a 5:00pm kick off.
