England head coach Eddie Jones says he is relishing the side's fixture at the Sapporo Dome at the 2019 Rugby World Cup after visiting the venue this week.
Jones is in Japan for a recce as he continues preparations for rugby's showpiece event in less than two years.
England will kick off their 2019 Rugby World Cup campaign at the stadium, when they face Tonga on 22 September.
“It’s going to be perfect conditions for rugby in September,” said Jones.
“We are looking forward to playing up here in front of 40,000 people. It’s going to be a great occasion for Sapporo and a great occasion for England rugby so we are very excited about it and very pleased to be playing here."
England's second Pool C game will be against USA at Kobe Misaki Stadium on Thursday 26 September (19:45)."The purpose of the visit is to review the facilities up here and to make the best choice for the team."
Jones' side will then play Argentina on 5 October at Tokyo Stadium (17:00), before ending the group stages against France on 12 October at International Stadium Yokohama (17:15).
“The climate up here is going to be very similar to England so we won’t have to do too much adaption," Jones told Japanese media. "I think we are well equipped to handle the conditions.
“We have a tough game against Tonga. We know the surface is going to be perfect, we know the conditions are going to be perfect. So it is all set for a very good game of rugby.”
Jones is back in Japan having already visited the country several times with members of his backroom team and he says it has been a useful trip.
“It’s high technology," he added of the stadium.
"The way they have created the stadium is a real tribute to the people that built it and we are really excited to play a game here.
“The only thing we will have to get used to is the lights on the roof. But I am sure we will have at least one practice run here.
“The purpose of the visit is to review the facilities up here and to make the best choice for the team, and the facilities we have seen so far have been excellent.”
