New GMS features going live in May

Over the past 18 months the RFU has sought feedback from across the game on GMS. Taking on board this feedback a range of enhancements and developments are being introduced to GMS to make life easier for users.

Coming into effect this week (w/c 15 May), these updates should be useful tools that will help clubs and CBs manage their admin more easily.

Update What it means for you
Feedback tile This special button means you can now provide feedback via a survey link any time you want, allowing for consistent standardised feedback to be entered throughout the season so we can continually review your thoughts on GMS.
New dashboard stats The ability to identify aggregated club / CB data – so you have a more accurate gauge of data e.g. women’s participation within your club or CB.
Create events & communicate about them With a special easy to use version of the GMS events module, you can now easily create club events for your members and let them know about them
Cross club search Search across the database for existing participants across more than one club, preventing duplications.
Refund prompt to remove individual membership Link membership refunds with subscriptions so that payments reflect your membership status.
Friendly fixtures Notifications will now be sent to opposing clubs fixture secretaries to allow them to accept/reject friendly fixtures.
Safeguarding report Use the safeguarding report to see the DBS status attached to individuals within your club and ensure all required checks are in place and current.
Welcome email Now every new user registered by your club or CB will receive a welcome email informing them their record has been added and how to view it should they wish.
Prompt messages available on login If any users at your club haven’t logged in for more than three months, they will now receive a message prompting them to check their details when they log in to GMS.

We will be introducing regular updates on GMS throughout the season to ensure consistent and relevant information is released to users, so please do keep an eye out for that.
