Touchline: June/July 2016

June/July Touchline celebrates England Rugby’s glorious  season end, with a three-match whitewash of Australia, the U20s winning the World Rugby Championship for the third time in four seasons and the Saxons 2-0 series win in South Africa.

NatWest RugbyForce weekend saw clubs up and down the country enjoy some serious DIY and Will Greenwood and Lewis Moody become honorary board members of Royston and Bolton RUFCs.

As Manchester enjoyed the magic of the World Rugby U20 Championships, RFU Vice Patron Prince Harry joined local youngsters and the England U20s for a skills session with a difference as StreetGames  introduces fun rugby to young people in disadvantaged communities.

And, thanks to help from members and the local community, Tynedale RFC turn the tide, after being coachless and homeless, Storm Desmond drowning their clubhouse and pitches. They are back on top for their 140th anniversary.
