Femi Sofolarin started playing rugby aged 11 at Dulwich College and Beckenham RFC and went on to make his Premiership club debut for Harlequins U18 in November 2017.
Sofolarin, who plays on the wing and at full back, was part of the Dulwich College side that won the Champions Trophy in 2017 and in 2018 he went on to represent Harlequins at the Premiership Sevens tournament where he scored three tries.
Scoring a try for England on his Rugby Europe Grand Prix Sevens Series debut in Marcoussis in July 2018 and representing the GB U18s sevens side in Lithuania in May 2018 are two of Sofolarin’s career highlights to date.
He thanks Harlequins Academy backs coach Warren Abrahams and Dulwich College first XV coaches James Hanks and Ben Jacobs for his rugby knowledge and praises his parents for taking him to training, watching matches and practising in the garden with him when he was growing up.
Outside of rugby Sofolarin is a talented footballer having played for the Crystal Palace Academy before starting secondary school. He also captained his secondary school’s first XI hockey team for one year, played for Dulwich College’s first XI cricket team and was ranked tenth in the UK at javelin when he was aged 17.
