A versatile forward with strength, power and speed, Hollie Cunningham has made an instant impact at club side Bristol Ladies in the Tyrrells Premier 15s.
The University of Exeter student made her debut in September 2017 against Richmond,
Cunningham can play at either lock or across the back row and is reaping the rewards after really pushing for a rugby career when she was accepted onto the Hartpury AASE squad.
She was part of the England U20s side which beat Canada 3-0 in August 2016 and captained Cleve U18s in her final season.
The Sport and Exercise Science student counts Bristol prop Ellie Mulhearn among her best friends and the pair got their U20 caps together in August 2016.
A talented athlete – she was keen on hammer, discus and hurdles – she has a natural sporting instinct, perhaps handed down from her mother, Nicci, who once competed at three-day eventing the Great Britain equestrian trials.
Cunningham was inspired to play rugby by Maggie Alphonsi and Danielle Waterman, who both gave passionate speeches at rugby camps she attended and she has kept driving to succeed ever since.
Her favourite computer game is Borderlands 2, while she enjoys watching Family Guy and her favourite meal is either stir fry or sausages and mash.
