Vicky Laflin enjoyed plenty of success in her formative years and has taken that into her Worcester Valkyries and England career.
The psychology student at University of Worcester completed her A Levels at Yateley Sixth Form where she was awarded a lifetime achievement award for rugby.
But Vicky’s first ever trophy was a Player of the Tournament award as an U9 and she progressed at Reading where she led the U15 and U18 Girls.
The full back was national U15 champion and enjoyed success at sevens at U18 level, meaning her call-up to the South West was no surprise, with Vicky captaining once again.
Her proudest moment however came with Berkshire when Vicky helped her county become national champions.
Having started rugby at six, Vicky plies her trade in the Tyrrells Premier 15s with the Valkyries as she attempts to emulate her rugby hero Dan Carter.
Away from the pitch, Vicky has won more than 100 rosettes for horse riding events including winning prize money and a photo shoot.
Vicky enjoys a wide variety of music, particularly Khalid, lists her favourite holiday destination as Croatia and likes watching Gogglebox on TV.
