Daniel has sits as a Judicial Officer for the RFU, 6 Nations and World Rugby on first instance and appellate hearings. He formerly played 1st XV rugby for Moseley, Stourbridge and Blackheath RFC.
He is a barrister at Citadel Chambers in Birmingham and practises in the areas of criminal and sports law.
After retiring from rugby in 2014 having worn a number 8 shirt for many years in a variety of colours, Gareth started sitting on RFU panels in the same year.
More recently, he was appointed to chair RFU and Army RU panels, as well as to sit on 6 Nations’ panels and act to as a Rugby Europe/7’s Judicial Officer.
He is also a barrister in chambers at 3 Paper Buildings, practicing in the areas of Employment, Professional Discipline and Sports Law.
HHJ Euan Ambrose
Euan is a full-time Circuit Judge sitting in civil and criminal cases.
He has been an RFU Judicial Officer since 2013 and an RFU Judicial Chairman since 2014.
Andy previously played rugby for Bridgwater & Albion, Tor, Wells and Bournemouth University.
He joined the RFU panel in 2014 and is a practising Dispute Resolution Solicitor.
Chris played for over 22 years at various levels, retiring due to injury. He's been a referee for 10 years, and is currently the Development Squad Manager for his society. He's also the 1st team coach for his local club.
Chris is a senior RAF Officer by profession, but also the Executive Chairman of Oxfordshire RFU.
A former player, referee and coach, Chris has been involved in rugby since he was 11 and been a Panel Member since September 2016.
Dave has been involved in rugby for 40 years, playing more than 30 of those years at all levels of the sport. He is currently an SRU Elite Coach for the Scottish Qualified Programme and is managing the Scotland National Age Group U16 Squad for a second season. He also sits on the Cornwall CB Disciplinary Panel, served as county Chairman for Player Development and held the position of Director of Rugby. Dave joined the RFU panel in 2018.
David is a member of the discipline panel.
He played rugby as an amateur for nearly 20 years and practices as a Barrister in the South West.
Derek has been involved in rugby since the age of 7, playing for 30, onto refereeing, club administration and watching. He spent his working life in criminal and civil investigation, security, regulation and compliance within the Police, Government and Corporate environments.
He was appointed to the RFU Judiciary four years ago and serving on the Devon CB Discipline panel for three years.
In addition to being a judge, now full and before that part time, for nearly 20 years, HHJ Martin Picton has also been involved with Old Bristolians RFC for the last 10 years and is currently responsible for running the Colts team.
Jamie is an ex-professional player for Dragons, Scarlets and Cardiff Blues in Wales, and for Northland in New Zealand. He played for Wales U18-U20 and toured Australia with Wales in 2006. He joined the RFU panel in 2017 and also sits for the WRU and World Rugby.
John played for Bristol from 1976-1991 and also for various representative sides including England and the Barbarians before retiring in 1991.
He has sat on the RFU disciplinary panel since 2005 and the World Rugby panel since 2008.
John played rugby for Sutton & Epsom RFC and was then an active referee for over 30 years. He was President of and RFU Council Member for Surrey Rugby and served 5 years as a member of the RFU Board of Directors.
He was Chairman of the RFU Finance and Funding Committee and has been involved in Competition administration and regulation for over 20 years.
Lee is a former rugby player for Bath, making 263 appearances for the club. He has 42 England caps and 4 for the British and Irish Lions.
He is now an Executive coach for the Preston Associates.
Mark Regan MBE
Mark is an ex-professional player for Bristol, Leeds and Bath Rugby and was capped for both England and the British and Irish Lions.
He joined the panel in March 2017.
Martin is Chairman of Discipline for Devon RFU.
He played and coached rugby at junior and senior levels and is now a volunteer with Devon RFU and the RFU.
Michael is an advanced coach and rugby educator for the RFU since 2010. He is responsible for all coach, referee and medical training for the Army rugby union.
Mike is a former RFU Council member for Somerset and Chairman of its Disciplinary Panels for a number of years. He was a member of the RFU's Competitions Committee and co-authored the Competition Regulations. Mike is a former Hon. Secretary of the Bath Past Players Association, Past Player and Referee. In addition he was an RFU Referee Adviser in the Premiership and European Cup Competitions for approx. 9 years. He is now an RFU Judicial Officer having joined the panel in.
Mike is a former Player having Captained Bristol, Gloucestershire and South West Division. He was capped by England at age grade and toured Fiji, Tonga, Japan and Argentina with the England Senior Men’s team and was a member of the Grand Slam wining side of 1980. Mike also played for the Barbarians, a combined England/Wales XV against Scotland/Ireland XV in 1980 and played for a WRU Presidents World XV v Wales in 1984. He Captained Bristol to the cup win in 1983 and captained Gloucestershire to county champions in 1983 and 1984. Having retired from playing, Mike coached at Bristol, Gloucestershire, the South West and England colts. In addition, he is president of St Brendan’s Old Boys RFC. A former Citing Commissioner for the RFU, EPCR and World Rugby, Mike officiated at the RWC in 2015 and the Rio Olympics in 2016 as well as many other matches/international tours before retiring from citing in 2017. Having previously sat as a panel member for World Rugby, Mike joined the RFU panel in 2018.
Nick is a lawyer in private practice and has been involved with rugby most of his life.
He is Secretary of the Dorset & Wilts. RFU, South West Disciplinary Panel member since 2010 and has also worked for the Six Nations and Pro 12.
Nicola is a Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor.
She formerly played No 8 for a number of years and had trials for England Students.
Nigel is an active player and referee and is the South West Divisional Player Development Chair which runs the SW Counties Under 18s & 20s aspirational teams. In addition this role also has oversight of the 4 professional academies at Exeter Chiefs, Bath, Bristol Bears and Gloucester. Nigel is also a Director of Exeter Athletic RFC.
Lt Cdr Ollie Clark RN
Ollie played rugby for 18 years for school, university and a couple of clubs until he joined the Royal Navy in 2006, after which he played only sporadically in various appointments until he stopped playing in 2009. Ollie is a Navy barrister, specialising in criminal, maritime and international law. He has been an RFU Chairman since 2018, and has sat on Army Rugby and Dorset and Wilts County panels since 2017.
Olly played for Bristol for 2 years before joining Harlequins where he made 150 appearances. He was capped by Wales in 2013. Olly joined the RFU, WRU and World Rugby disciplinary panesl in 2017.
Paul is a serving Army Officer, who has been involved in rugby for most of his life - playing within the Army up to Corps (County) level and at local civilian teams wherever he has served during career, as well as managing teams at a variety of levels.
He became an ARU Panel Member in 2009 and was appointed as the Army Rugby Union Chairman of Discipline in 2013. He was appointed to the RFU National Panel in 2015.
Tim is a barrister and Head of Regulation at the British Horseracing Authority. He played 1XV schools rugby in Wales and at University and senior level in the USA. He represented American Universities in New Zealand and against Canada U21 before returning and playing senior rugby in London and Wales. He sat on Middlesex RFU Disciplinary Panels since 2012 and became a RFU panel member in 2018.
William Mousley QC
Bill is a criminal barrister (Queen’s Counsel) and Recorder of the Crown Court. He played Rugby for England Universities, Ealing in the National Leagues and at County level before coaching (Level 3 qualified) until 2013 .
