RFU Constituent Bodies are the only administrative bodies which operate between the national governing body and the member clubs. They are able to provide significant development support to their member clubs and therefore clubs should ensure that they develop good links with the different functions of the CB. A CB, alongside the RFU regional rugby delivery team, will be able to offer support and guidance in the following areas:
- Coach development
- Facility development
- Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
- Club finance and funding
- Representative rugby and schools of rugby
There are 28 county CBs, e.g. Devon, and seven non-geographical CBs, including the Students RFU and the Army RFU, to which all clubs, schools, colleges and universities are allocated.
