England trio Tom Curry, Jonny May and Mark Wilson have been shortlisted by their team mates for the player of the year award.
The England men’s player of the year award is presented to the outstanding England men’s player the 2018-19 season, as voted by the England Elite Playing Squad.
The winner will be announced at the 2019 RPA awards on 8 May.
As one of the most eagerly-anticipated events in the rugby calendar, the RPA Awards recognise and celebrate the very best of the best in rugby. Taking place at Twickenham Stadium, the event will see a host of awards announced.
Curry and Wilson has breakthrough years for England, while May scored six tries in five games during the 2019 Guinness Six Nations.
Sale Sharks flanker Curry said he was "honoured" with the nomination, adding: "I must thank them for their huge support. It’s been an incredible experience playing for England so far, I have learnt an awful lot and I look forward to what is a massive year for our squad.”
Leicester Tigers wing May added:“To be nominated by my England teammates is a huge honour and one I am extremely grateful for. There’s no better feeling than to have the recognition and support of my peers, and I am excited about the opportunity that lies ahead for our squad later this year.”
And Newcastle Falcons backrow forward Wilson said:“It’s very flattering to be recognised in this way by my England peers. It’s been a great year and it’s an enormous privilege to represent my country, my club, my family and everyone who has supported me so far. I look forward to continue playing my part and contributing to our success going forward.”
