- Nominate a volunteer here
- Deadline is 24 February 2019
Nominations have opened for the Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer of the Year Awards with entries open until Sunday, 24 February.
Now in its third year, the Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer of the Year Awards celebrate the incredible volunteers across the country who are the heartbeat of our sport.
If you know a volunteer that deserves to be recognised, you have until Sunday, 24 February to make a nomination here. The shortlisted nominees will be announced in March with the awards held later in the year.
Last year's three winners were Alex Breading from Canvey Island RFC, Elliot Fortey from Longlevens RFC and Claire MacCarron from Warminster RFC.
"I just want to carry on giving back to the club and do justice to this amazing game."
A life-changing injury meant 2018 winner Alex Breading had to step away from rugby at the age of 29. Seven years later and fully recovered, he returned to the sport as a volunteer having been inspired to change the life of his eldest son.
He has transform Canvey Island RFC, growing the youth section to 100 players from nothing.
Elliot Fortey's work has helped provide opportunities for mixed ability rugby for both adults and children in Gloucestershire while MacCarron started the Pink Panthers girls rugby team at Warminster RFC three seasons ago which has since gone on to become the Junior Team of the Year at the Wiltshire Sports Awards.
