Red Roses flanker Marlie Packer has praised the clinical nature of their Women's Six Nations win against Wales as they ran in nine tries in Cardiff.
England had scored 15 tries in their opening two rounds as they secured bonus-point wins and it was another impressive display at Cardiff Arms Park in a 51-12 victory.
“It was a fantastic performance from the girls – we went out there, we had a game plan and we executed it," said Packer. “We’ve got such a great squad atmosphere."
“Obviously we’ll be disappointed that they got over our line twice but that is a work on.
“We’re building and taking it into the next game which is Italy but there are a lot of work ons after this fantastic win, but nine tries is a great team performance."
Saracens Women flanker Packer also believes the performances are a reflection of how unified the group are.
“We’ve got such a great squad atmosphere at the moment, it’s not forwards and backs as we’re as one," she added.
“That is the philosophy we’ve got going on at the moment."
Sarah Bern won the fans' player of the match award after an impressive all around display including two of England's nine tries.
The Bristol Bears Women prop carried hard throughout the game, was dogged in defence and even had a third score ruled out, but she enjoyed the freedom she had when she got ball in hand.
“I think my back row days came out a bit today," said the 21-year-old. "I love running in space and I don’t really get a chance to do that much so it just came out.
“It would have been my first hat-trick ever so I was a little bit gutted when it got disallowed but there’s always next time."
Next up for England is an unbeaten Italian side at Sandy Park in Exeter, but Bern says the squad are not getting ahead of themselves about winning the rest of their games.
“I think every team will be looking for a Grand Slam,"she added. "They had a really good game yesterday so we don’t know.
“We want that but we’ve got to take each game as it comes."
