- Worcester claim British & Irish Cup
- Doncaster Knights 5 – 35 Worcester Warriors
Worcester Warriors claimed the 2014/15 British & Irish Cup trophy at Castle Park on Good Friday, cruising to a comfortable 5-35 win against a determined Doncaster Knights.
Promotion contenders Worcester proved too strong for the home side, scoring four tries before the break courtesy of Dean Hammond, Alex Gove, JB Bruzulier and Dan George. Tiff Eden kept the scoreboard ticking over, securing 15 points off the boot.
The home-side remained determined throughout, never wavering in their attempts to cross the white wash. The Yorkshire team were eventually rewarded when Ben Hunter crossed for his side’s only score, despite a second-half insurgence.
As the Champions headed back down to Sixways, Worcester will undoubtedly be hoping the trophy in tow is one of two that they’ll find in the cabinet come the end of the season, with the Championship title race firmly on.
