Asher Opoku-Fordjour
Asher Opoku-Fordjour signed with the Sale Sharks Academy in November 2022 and earned a senior contract following an impressive 2023/24 season with the Premiership club. The beginning of the 2023/24 season saw Opoku-Fordjour break through to the Sale first team, earning appearances in the Gallagher Premiership and Investec Champions Cup. He was named in Mark Mapletoft's England U20 Men Elite Playing Squad for the 2023/24 season and featured prominently as England won the 2024 U20 Six Nations title. He was named in Mapletoft's 30-player squad for the 2024 edition of the World Rugby U20 Championship and played a starring role in England's global triumph. He made his senior England debut against Japan during the 2024 Autumn Nations Series and was named in Steve Borthwick’s training squad ahead of England's summer tour of Argentina and the USA.

The props prop the hooker on both sides in the front row, push against the opposition props and anchor the scrum. The loose-head prop is on the hooker’s left, his head outside the scrum when it engages, the tighthead packs down to the hooker’s right on the inside, shoring up the scrum with strength.
