Dan’s Team Set New World Record

Dan Miller’s Hoylake team mates have broken the Guinness World Record for the longest ever touch rugby game, setting a new record of 33 hours 33 minutes and 33 seconds.

Dan's rugby position was number 3. They smashed the previous record of 30 hours and three minutes. Their friend died at 43 from a massive heart attack devastating his young family, his four brothers, and team mates. His Hoylake team enjoyed success, including reaching the Twickenham Tetley Bitter Vase finals in 2001.

They are also raising money for WaterAid, Dan’s favourite charity, with support from, among others, actor Daniel Craig, a former club member and junior player,  England head coach Eddie Jones and Katy Daley-McLean, who led England to victory in the 2014 World Cup.

Dan was an active supporter of WaterAid, whose mission is to bring clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to the millions of people around the world who do not have access to these basic human rights and which form the building blocks of lifting people out of poverty.
