Sadia Kabeya
Sadia Kabeya plays for Loughborough Lightning in the Allianz Premier 15s having made the move from Wasps. Sadia came through the pathway system having represented England at age grade level. She made her senior debut in the 2021 autumn internationals against Canada and then started the following fixture against the USA. She was part of the successful 2022 TikTok Women’s Six Nations campaign and also named the Rugby Players’ Association Allianz Premier 15s player of the year in 2022. She was part of the squad that reached the final of the delayed 2021 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand, earning player of the match in the opening game against Fiji. Sadia featured in the 2023 Six Nations and was part of the team that won the 2024 edition, but missed out on WXV1 in Canada later that year due to injury. She has recently been named in the squad for the 2025 Six Nations.

The back row consists of two flankers and the No 8. The blind-side flanker wears six and the open-side flanker seven, both specialising in big tackles and winning possession through turnovers. They are fearless, strong and fast to the breakdown. The No 8 secures the ball at the base of the scrum, is an attacking link between forwards and backs and a real force when defending.
