Morwenna Talling
After several impressive performances for Loughborough Lightning’s development side, the forward made her Tyrrells Premier 15s debut at the age of 17 against Saracens in October 2019 and has excelled since. This form earned her a call-up to Simon Middleton’s 2020 Women’s Six Nations Red Roses squad. She was named in the squad to travel to New Zealand for the delayed 2021 Rugby World Cup. Morwenna featured in the 2023 Six Nations before touring with the Red Roses squad for their title-winning WXV1 campaign in New Zealand later that year. She was part of the squad that won the 2024 Six Nations Grand Slam and the WXV1 title later that year in Canada. She has recently been named in the 2025 Women's Six Nations squad.

The back row consists of two flankers and the No 8. The blind-side flanker wears six and the open-side flanker seven, both specialising in big tackles and winning possession through turnovers. They are fearless, strong and fast to the breakdown. The No 8 secures the ball at the base of the scrum, is an attacking link between forwards and backs and a real force when defending.
