Women and Girls Recruitment

Before you start planning, consider which age groups you wish to recruit and what type of activity will be most appropriate and welcoming.  Do you have the capacity to offer both contact and non-contact options? Could you run a taster session, festival or a series of weekly sessions?

Think about who will help run the sessions to ensure they are fun, engaging and inspire players to return.

Consider which months, days and times the sessions will run. Many clubs have found the summer to be a great opportunity to bring women and girls into the club using fitness and non-contact sessions that females of all ages can attend.

Where will the sessions take place? Could they start at a neutral local familiar to your audience, such as a local Girls Guides venue, leisure centre, school or park.
